      Oh sister. I didn’t expect you’d die before me.

Artist’s note: My best friend pretty much fell dead (brain attack) while shopping a couple years ago. I think about her a lot and am still, sometimes, struck with disbelief that she’s no longer alive. I have a hard time believing that such a powerful force could be -- poof! -- gone forever. But that’s life and that’s death. So, to Kim! and all the wonderful spirit of life that you were for me.
